This fall, members will vote for three positions on GreyStone Power’s board of directors by mail-in ballot. Ballots will be mailed the end of August as a cover wrap on the outside of the GEORGIA Magazine.
GreyStone’s Nominating Committee met April 30, 2009, to select nominees for director seats from Districts 1, 4 and 8 for full three-year terms. Selected nominees are District 1: J. Calvin Earwood, Paulding and Bartow counties; District 4: L. Burnell Redding, Carroll and Douglas counties; District 8: Fred Wallace and James M. Johns, Douglas County.
Any member of GreyStone Power who would like to serve on the board and was not nominated by the Nominating Committee may submit a petition signed by 50 or more GreyStone members to be placed on the ballot. Persons signing must be the member of record receiving the electric bill. Call 770-370-2066 to request a petition or click here to print the online petition. Completed board petitions must be submitted to GreyStone on or before July 2, 2009, by 5 p.m.
Candidates desiring to have their name and biographical information included in the Annual Meeting edition of GEORGIA Magazine must submit such information, in the format and manner required by the Credentials and Elections Committee, by July 10. Candidates must live within the geographic boundary of the district seat they seek. Also, any member employed by a competing utility is not eligible.
