ALERT TO MEMBERS: CONTACT YOUR CONGRESSMAN TODAY! Pending legislation could have detrimental effects on what our members pay for electricity. |
GreyStone members are urged to contact their congressmen to prevent the EPA from proceeding with regulations on greenhouse gas emissions under the federal Clean Air Act. We strongly believe that allowing the EPA to regulate carbon and other greenhouse gasses, without guidance from Congress to ensure that any such plan is fair and affordable for all consumers, would increase our members’ energy costs and create expensive regulations and unnecessary delays in building new generating plants that are vital for meeting future energy demands.
Members, please also urge your congressmen to support signing the letter to the House Appropriations Committee to continue fiscal year 2010 (FY10) funding levels for USDA programs and reject restrictions on peaking natural gas and environmental upgrades. GreyStone relies on RUS funding to provide reliable service at the lowest cost possible for its members.
