The mission of Green Power EMC, a not-for-profit corporation run by GreyStone Power and 37 other EMCs in Georgia, is to find electricity produced from cleaner, greener Georgia sources and add it to our power supply mix. Since Green Power EMC was founded we've generated more than 132 million kilowatt hours of electricty from landfill gas, water and the sun, and in 2009 we plan to generate electricity from poultry litter and wood waste facilities.
