The winners of the 2006 Washington Youth Tour were announced March 30. More than 35 students from 12 local high schools competed for six slots on the all-expenses paid leadership trip to the nation's capitol in June. Students took a test on the history of rural electrification and GreyStone Power; the six students with the highest scores won the trip. 2006 winners are Jeremy Hale, East Paulding; Krizia Diya and Matt Cole, Colonial Hills; Charlita Lockett, Westlake; Will Geeslin, Landmark and Jeff Libby, Chapel Hill.
