Georgia Electric Membership Corporation announced that Ami Thaker of Douglasville has been awarded a 2004 Walter Harrison Scholarship. The Georgia State University sophomore majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Marketing is a native of Douglasville. She is one of seven winners from across Georgia to receive the scholarship this year, and was selected from 73 finalists.
