Energy Resource Conservation Loans

GreyStone’s makes it easier for members to invest in energy-efficient home improvements through its Energy Resource Conservation (ERC) Loan program. Low-interest loans are available up to $5,000 ($3,000 limit for thermal envelope improvements and $5,000 limit for HVAC equipment); amortized for a maximum of five years at 8% interest for qualified members. Applicants must be a GreyStone residential member homeowner with good payment history and strong creditworthiness.

ERC Loans can be used for

• Heating and air equipment
• Attic or floor insulation
• Replacement or storm windows
• Replacement doors
• New water heaters (including solar water heaters)

ERC Loan guidelines

• Loans up to $1,500 are non-secured signature loans
• Loans that are $1,501 to $5,000 are secured via property lien
• GreyStone provides a referral list of pre-approved contractors
• Loan may be paid off early without a pre-payment penalty
• A free energy audit will be performed by GreyStone prior to authorization of work to be financed
