Outage update - 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 7

More than 21,000 GreyStone Power members are out of power this evening. With damaging 60-70 mph winds and isolated gusts of 80 mph, falling trees and limbs have caused scattered outages throughout GreyStone’s service area. We’ve got all hands on deck and are calling crews from neighboring electric co-ops and all available contractors for restoration assistance. Douglas County appears to be the hardest hit at this time, with more than 10,300 members out, while more than 7,300 members are out in Paulding County. Due to the severity and widespread damage caused by this storm, this will likely be an all-night outage for some of our members. Crews will be working as quickly and safely as possible throughout the evening to restore service.
