Operation Round Up
The GreyStone Power Foundation, Inc. is built upon the strength of GreyStone's members volunteering to round up their electric bills to the next dollar or give additional monthly amounts to provide monetary assistance for non-profit organizations. It makes a tremendous difference in the lives of those who need help in our community. If you would like to participate in Operation Round Up, the Foundation's fundraising arm, simply check the "Yes" box on your power bill statement.
Signing up will cost you approximately $6 annually, yet those few dollars added together with those contributed by more than 27,000 other Cooperative members who have signed up make a tremendous impact in the lives of others. Every month your electric bill will be literally "rounded up" to the nearest dollar. For example, if your bill was $76.75, your bill would be rounded up to $77 with 25 cents going to Operation Round Up. Individually the funds contributed to Operation Round Up do not total a staggering amount; however, collectively they can go a long way in providing severely needed funds to non-profit organizations in our community. Since 1999 more than $1,230,000 has been raised by GreyStone members for community needs. Additional monthly donations are also welcome, as well as one-time donations in honor or in memory of an organization or individual.
