Annual Meeting shows the value of co-op membership
GreyStone Power’s most popular member event is back on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 8 a.m. until noon, when thousands will gather for the Annual Meeting of Members at GreyStone’s headquarters in Douglasville 4040 Bankhead Highway.
A free event for all who receive power from GreyStone, the event kicks off with a free Chick-fil-A® biscuit from 8 to 10 a.m. Register in the GreyStone auditorium from 8 to 11 am; bring electric bill to simplify registration.
At 9:45 a.m., enjoy the morning’s entertainment. The business meeting of members will begin at 11 a.m., followed by door prizes, including *truck*.
Children will enjoy inflatables, games, balloon artists, face painting and a chance to meet lineman.
At the energy efficiency/ Co-op Connections Expo tent, local businesses will demonstrate the benefits of energy-efficient products and services. Co-op Connections vendors will offer great deals and info on ongoing discounts to celebrate the program’s 10th anniversary.
Energy Efficiency seminars led by Residential Energy Services manager, Rudy Echols, will take place at 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. A door prize will be given to a lucky winner at each session.
A Health Fair tent, to promote member wellness, will help you with your health needs.Booths will offer various screenings and information from 8 until 11 a.m.
Soldiers’ Angels will collect canned items for our men and women in the military at their booth as well, giving members a chance to sign a Christmas card in support of a hospitalized veteran.
The business meeting begins at 11 a.m. and will include the treasurer’s regard, the state of the co-op address by President/CEO Gary Miller, and the announcement of elected board members.
