GreyStone Connect expanding service in Paulding with Phase 4

GreyStone Connect will soon launch Phase 4 of its fiber internet service, aimed at bringing high-speed internet to more of GreyStone Power Corporation’s unserved and underserved members. The next phase will expand into new areas of Paulding County, including some areas along Highway 61 and Highway 278.

A broadband subsidiary of GreyStone Power, GreyStone Connect plans to build around 350 miles of new fiber infrastructure in 2026.

Phase 4 will add 11 new circuits, with eight circuits planned to connect to existing fiber broadband huts. These huts reduce latency and are strategically placed along fiber routes. Another three circuits will be built out of a new hut in Hiram. Phase 4 will provide access to over 17,000 GreyStone Power members.

GreyStone Connect is bridging the digital divide for unserved and underserved members in parts of Bartow, Carroll, Douglas, Fulton and Paulding counties, bringing reliable internet service to those who need it most. Phase 4 is also expected to reach some members in western Cobb County.

GreyStone Connect has been working diligently to expand fiber internet service to its members since the first zone of Phase 1 opened in February 2024. Construction crews have been working tirelessly to extend the state-of-the-art fiber network into new areas of GreyStone Power’s footprint.

“GreyStone Power’s mission is making life better in the communities we serve, and the expansion of fast and reliable internet service does just that for our members,” said Gary Miller, president and CEO of GreyStone Power/GreyStone Connect. “Access to our high-quality fiber network will provide opportunities for e-learning, telehealth, economic development and a higher standard of living.”

GreyStone Power members can expect to receive more information regarding service availability as their neighborhoods get closer to being activated.
